At Erasmus Canary Islands, we have developed this course to equip teachers with educational tools to promote teamwork and improve academic performance through sports
Course description
The Sailing and Sea Kayaking Course is designed to foster teamwork and improve participants’ ability to concentrate.
Through water-based activities, attendees will learn not only the fundamental techniques of navigation and nautical terminology, but also how to collaborate effectively with their peers.

Day 1
- Welcome. Coffee and Lanzarote sweets
- Introduction of participants and encouragement of interaction
- Introduction to sailing: basics of safety and navigation
Day 2
- SAILING: Workshop session 1. Navigation fundamentals and on-the-water practice
Day 3
- YOGA Class
- KAYAK: Kayak tour of Marina Lanzarote with on-the-water biodiversity study
- Sustainability and environmental stewardship as transversal values in education
Day 4
- SAILING: Second workshop session . basic navigation concepts and on-the-water practice.
Day 5
- Course feedback: Course review and consolidation of nautical knowledge.
- Breakfast, certificate presentation, and farewell
